Schell Games was named one of 11 winners of the 2021 GamesIndustry.biz US Best Places to Work Awards - a program that's all about making the games industry a better place to work. In addition to being recognized as one of the best mid-sized companies, Schell Games was also the sole recipient of GamesIndustry.biz's Diversity Award.

To participate, studios completed an employer survey asking questions about pay, holiday, benefits, social activity, and more. The bulk of the awards were based on an employee survey consisting of nearly 60 statements for staff to agree or disagree with. This survey covered numerous topics, including working environment, work/life balance, management, diversity, and more.

The award recipients were revealed in a special video ceremony that featured numerous employees from winning companies talking about their experiences in the games industry.

In addition to the Best Places to Work Awards program, GamesIndustry.biz published a profile article featuring insights from our CEO Jesse Schell and produced a podcast about recruitment and diversity featuring our Senior Director of HR, Lauren Reed.
